Former MLB star Travis Fryman is parting with his longtime Florida Panhandle home, which hit the market last week for $4.8 million. 

Fryman, a Gold Glove Award-winning third baseman who spent most of his career with the Detroit Tigers and retired in 2002 after his fifth season with the Cleveland Indians, bought the 150-acre property in 1996 for $489,600, according to property records. 

"My wife and I built the house with the intention of raising our family,"

said Fryman, 55, who is now a coach for the Cleveland Guardians organization.

• Yard Maintenance
  Mow your lawn, front and back, and make sure your trees and bushes are nicely trimmed. If your driveway and walkways are full of dirt and debris, consider not just sweeping them but power washing them to make them look new.
